Venturefest Technology Showcase 2008

Tuesday 1st July 2008 marked this year’s Technology Showcase at Venture fest 2008. LiaiseOnline were sponsors of the People’s Choice Award. When we were invited to sponsor the awards we felt that the People’s Choice Award was the perfect title for an award with which we were happy to associate our brand.
Venture fest is now in its 10th year and helping new businesses gain exposure. The Technology Showcase had some 17 companies presenting their wares to all who cared to listen. Hundreds of business men and women passed through the Venture fest tent during the day, stopping by the stands to find out what they had to offer and making a judgement on which was their favourite business on the day. With his sponsor hat on, Jon Davey, MD of LiaiseOnline Limited, approached each of the companies and discussed their various offerings. “It was very interesting discussing why the companies had got themselves involved with Venture fest 2008. It wasn’t simply finance and the chance to discuss their needs with angels but also about meeting other businesses and discussing more day to day business topics. Everyone who is starting a business is doing so with a bunch of skills they have picked up along the way. These will vary and where one chap excels, another will be lacking and visa versa. The key for most business is recognising when they should be looking for outside help!"
